Aurélie Kayowa Kalenga is a skilled communicator with over a decade’s experience in news and current affairs. She is currently the host of the morning show on Channel Africa – the international radio service of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) – keeping listeners up to date with current affairs and developing news stories across the world, from an African perspective.

Aurélie is also the Communications Manager for the Africa branch of The Climate Reality Project, which is one of the world’s leading organisations dedicated to mobilising action around climate change.

In 2020, Aurélie founded her own Non-Governmental Organisation – Grace Beyond Borders, which is concerned with ending hunger, achieving food security, and promoting sustainable agriculture among African migrants in South Africa.

She is equally passionate about using innovative storytelling to advance the climate crisis and reinforce the importance of climate education and literacy in Africa.

Aurélie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes University, and a Masters in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of Witwatersrand.
