Katharina Johannsen is an energy journalist focusing on energy policy and markets, writing about a wide range of technologies and topics, from renewable energies to a new market design including capacity mechanisms for gas power plants or what’s going on in energy trading.
She also moderates panel discussions and events on energy-related topics and produces video reports.
Women Energize Women #womenenergize is a communication initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) within the scope of BMWK’s global project Bilateral Climate and Energy Partnerships and Dialogues. From 2021 to 2023 the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE) co-implemented the initiative.
