Maria Göckeritz

With a background in audiovisual media and academic training in media studies and online journalism, Maria Goeckeritz brings a strong foundation in storytelling, intercultural communication, and strategic digital outreach. Her early work in television production, combined with international experience in Ireland and New Zealand, shaped her approach to inclusive, cross-cultural communication.

At the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE), she works as a digital communications expert for national and international projects. She leads digital content strategy and social media for flagship initiatives such as the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD), the BETD Media Fellows Programme, and the Qualification Network for Renewable Energies in Lusatia (QLEE). Her work supports a just and collaborative global energy transition by amplifying diverse voices and narratives from across the sector.

A committed advocate for gender equality, she played a central role in launching the Women Energize Women campaign and conference and continues to strengthen the visibility and participation of women in the energy sector and beyond.

As a Women Energize Women ambassador and mentee in the W.one – Women of New Energies mentoring programme, she is actively building networks that connect and empower women, as well as promote equity throughout the transformation of the energy system.
