Nomthandazo Mabena is a researcher at the CSIR specializing in energy storage technologies like lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, and green hydrogen electrolyzers. Ms Mabena has contributed to the H2Atlas-Africa project, which maps green hydrogen opportunities across the continent to guide policy and investment. She also advises global organizations such as the United Nations and represents the scientific community at international forums.
