Serafina Funk is a project and team lead within the National and International Projects team at the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE e. V.), the umbrella organization representing Germany’s renewable energy sector.

As a manager for national and international projects she is responsible for overseeing major conferences and energy transition initiatives, such as the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) and the BETD Media Fellows Program. In that capacity she has been ensuring their strategic conceptualization and effective operational and communicative implementation.

She co-created the Women Energize Women campaign and conference with GIZ and was responsible of the overall project management and program in coordination from 2021-2023.

With an academic background in political science, Serafina brings extensive experience in multilateral cooperation, gender equality initiatives, international policy processes and geopolitical aspects of the energy transition. Her work is marked by a commitment to inclusive and intersectional approaches in the global energy transition.
